In an emergency, call 911 first. You can also use Send SOS in the app's Safety Center, which shares your live location.
Zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy
Rydelinx has zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use by drivers. A driver may not use or be impaired by alcohol, marijuana or any drug, including medication that affects their ability to drive safely, at any time while logged in to the Rydelinx Driver app, whether or not they are carrying a rider.
If you think your driver is impaired
- If you feel unsafe, ask to end the ride in a safe, public place, or call 911.
- Report it as soon as you can: in the app (open the trip, then Report a safety issue), or by email to info@rydelinx.com.
What Rydelinx does
- When we receive a report that a driver may have been impaired, we immediately suspend that driver's access to the app while we investigate.
- We review the trip details, contact the rider and driver, and keep a record of the report and its outcome.
- If the report is confirmed, the driver is permanently removed from Rydelinx.
Riders and drivers share the same rules:
- Respect everyone. No harassment, threats, violence, or sexual contact or comments.
- Follow the law. Drivers obey traffic laws. Riders don't ask drivers to break them.
- Seat belts and capacity. Everyone wears a seat belt. No more passengers than the ride type allows.
- No open alcohol, smoking or vaping in the vehicle.
- Protect privacy. Don't contact a rider or driver outside the app after a trip.
- Be honest. No fake accounts, false reports or fraud.
Non-discrimination
Rydelinx does not tolerate discrimination by riders or drivers based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status or any other characteristic protected by law. Drivers may not refuse, cancel or treat a rider differently for any of these reasons, or because of where a trip starts or ends.
Riders with disabilities and service animals
- Service animals are always welcome, at no extra charge. Drivers may not refuse a rider with a service animal.
- Mobility devices. Drivers help store folding wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility devices that fit safely in the vehicle, at no extra charge.
- Wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Rydelinx does not yet offer wheelchair-accessible vehicles. If you need one, contact us and we'll help you find an option.
When accounts are suspended or removed
We may suspend or remove a rider or driver who breaks these policies or our Terms of Service, or for safety reasons. Where it's safe and lawful, we tell the person why and give them a way to respond. To appeal a decision, email info@rydelinx.com with your account phone number.
